The Reiki Deepening Course

This is the Reiki Evolution version of "Advanced Reiki Training", or "ART"

We are very excited to be able to tell you about a new live Reiki course that we are making available from Autumn 2007 onwards. We feel that this course will be of benefit to a great many people who are actively working with Reiki and, from what we can see, there does not seem to be anything else like this course currently available elsewhere. The course is available to people of all lineages, but students need to be at Second Degree level at least.

A Course for people at Second Degree

We have put this course together firstly for the benefit of Second Degree students who do not feel that they want to move on to Master / Teacher level at this time, but who wish to:

This course is not for everyone: it is only for those who have been working with the energy regularly on themselves and on other people, those who are motivated and experienced. Potential candidates will have attended a Second Degree Reiki course at least 3 months prior to the "Deepening" course date and they should be working with the energy regularly, on themselves and on other people.

A Course for Reiki Masters/Teachers

The course will also be of benefit to Reiki Master Practitioners and Reiki Master Teachers of other lineages (who have not taken our Reiki Master Teacher course) who wish to deepen their experience of the energy, enhance their self-healing and treatments, explore the use of sacred sound and the potential of intent and intuition: these things are not generally taught on Western-style RMT courses.

Why would I want to learn these things?

There is more to Reiki than can be passed on at First and Second Degree level, in terms of experiencing the energies, working on the self and on others, and in terms of exploring intent and intuition. These areas are obviously covered on our Master / Teacher course, but not everyone feels that they would want to move on to Master / Teacher level.

By providing a "Reiki Deepening Course" we are passing on Master-level approaches to energy work to Second Degree practitioners, but without expecting the student to learn how to carry on attunements and empowerments.

Of course the option is always open for the student to move on to Master / Teacher level at some stage in the future, and in that case we will give the student a £70 discount because some of the content will already have been covered on the "Deepening" Course. That seems only fair.

How the course works: Part home study, part live training

The course has the advantage of consisting of both extensive home-based energy work (lasting several weeks) and in-person, live training with one of our team of teachers. The home study component lasts for six weeks for students from other lineages, and four weeks for people who have trained with Reiki Evolution.

The home-study period does two things: firstly it brings the student up to speed in terms of carrying out the basic practices taught on our First and Second Degree courses; for Reiki Evolution students this will be by way of a reminder or a recap, while for students of other lineages there will be some new things to learn and explore. Secondly, the home-study period provides the student with the opportunity to begin to practise a powerful self-healing exercise, focused on the Hara, which formed part of Mikao Usui's original system; the student's progress will be reviewed on the day of the live course.

Highlights of the live training day would be the following:

The Audio CD

Our Reiki Deepening Course is accompanied by an two audio CDs: one CD is the "Reiki Meditations" audio CD, and the second CD contains commentary from the course and two new guided meditations that deal with intent and intuition. By having on CD the main points of the course, you really are able to 'take your course home with you'. You can hear it all again at home! The new guided meditations take you through a special meditation that uses visualisation and intent to control the nature of the energy that you are channelling, and also talks you through a method that allows you to open up to intuitive working when you treat.

The Course Manual

Each Reiki Evolution course is accompanied by a comprehensive manual, which covers everything we teach on the day, and more besides. There is no need to take notes. Note taking is so unsatisfactory: you frantically scribble, desperate not to miss what is being said and when you get home you can't read your writing! On our courses you can relax, safe in the knowledge that everything we do is there in the manual for you to take home with you. You do not need to take notes on our courses! Our "Deepening Course" manual runs to 50 A4 pages, with 18,000 words.

The Certificate

All courses are accompanied by a certificate, in this case confirming that you have attended and received training in advanced energy techniques.

Course Fees

The fee for our "Reiki Deepening Course" is only £170 (£180 at the London, Beckenham, Dartford and Melton Mowbray venues), which is the same cost as our Second Degree courses. There is a £70 deposit, with the balance being payable to your teacher on the day of the course.

Ongoing Support and Advice

Once you've been on your Reiki Deepening Course we want you to know that your teacher will be on hand to deal with any questions or queries that you might have, and Taggart and Lorraine will be on hand to help and support you in your practice of Reiki. We have tried to set up various ways that we can support you, and our students can support each other. This is what we offer at the moment:

"Excellent course. I really benefited from the Hara Defining exercise and the CKR and SHK exercises prior to the day. I found meditating on the CKR/Earth Ki created a protective shell around me whilst centring me and the SHK filled the shell with light and positive energy. Following those exercises with the Hara defining exercise pulled my energy back to my centre even more and brought in a lot more positive energy. I could feel the energy moving out from my tanden in waves following this exercise, but I needed to stop the Hara exercise once I felt centred and 'ok' otherwise I felt as if I was buzzing.

On the day, the second Reiju Empowerment was unbelievably powerful, especially after the empowerment for about 30 mins. I had no idea where I was afterwards and was amazed that I had stayed sat up on my chair. I really enjoyed the Frequency Scale meditation. I found that my Earth Ki was quite dense at the beginning and after the second time of going up the scale I found that the heavenly Ki was moving down into my Earth Ki and raising its vibration. That was also quite amazing.

I am also amazed to say I enjoyed the chanting. It is very powerful and I could feel the two energies differently - earth and heaven and enjoy them both. I have since started to mentally chant one of the energies - which ever comes to mind at the time when I feel angry and it disperses the anger. Monday it was SHK energy kotodama that dispersed the anger and today - Tuesday it was the CKR Kotodama. Immediately following the course I was very negative - irritated and depressed and angry but on Monday, this had gone. At the moment I am fluctuating, but I have more energy. I have practiced HTSR, Self treatment and asked for the Reiju empowerment, chanted the CKR and SHK and HSZSN kotodama and done the Hara defining exercises, which all sound a lot but I wanted to see how the energies felt and I have a much stronger connection to Reiki. I am really pleased I did the course.

I also found mentally chanting the CKR and SHK Kotodama, whilst giving a treatment on the day, very powerful.

There was, I thought, a lot of info and techniques to take in on the day, although it is helpful to have the manual and definitely a must to practice the exercises before the day. I felt that I seemed to learn a lot more on this course through the practical exercises. It made me realise that there is much more to Reiki than appear on levels 1 and 2.

I also became aware of how powerful the Reiki energy is, after the second Rejiu Empowerment.

I am really pleased that I did this course. I definitely have a much stronger connection to Reiki. I have had a lot of Reiju empowerments over the past 2 years but Sundays' second Reiju was incredible and I feel as if I had gone up a level. I feel motivated to make the meditations part of my weekly routine and feel a lot happier about doing the Reiki Masters, although I will work with the new mediations for a while.

”Thank you for my certificate for the Deepening Course! I had a brilliant day with Tina. Initially I had a little bit of nerves because I was going to be taught 1-2-1, however, this turned out to be the best thing ever, and I ended up feeling incredibly lucky to be taught the course this way. Tina taught me in such a relaxed but professional way, giving me lots of examples of her personal experiences to either complement or contrast my own experiences and her feedback when I worked on her really boosted my confidence.

I received the course content and manual about 4 months before the course so I had plenty of time to read and practice the kotodama, hara defining exercise and intent exercises and I thought that I had learned a lot just from the manual and CD which I found be be very easy to understand and follow. I loved the frequency scale exercise.

The live training actually surpassed my expectations and I learnt more about Reiki and intent than I thought possible. Chanting the kotodama with Tina and experiencing their energies was incredible and really cemented my understanding of their qualities and when and how to use them for helping others or myself. I can’t explain just how much of a difference the course has made to the way that I work, I now realise that my intention can be used in such an unlimited way and that I can just relax and trust Reiki to do whatever’s required in any situation.
