Advanced Reiki Training?
The phrase “Advanced Reiki Training” usually refers to a Reiki course taken after Second Degree level but before Mastership, and quite often consists of training in a range of non-Reiki techniques that have crept into Reiki over the years, for example the use of Antahkaranas, “Psychic Surgery”, Healing attunements, crystal grids and various other bits and pieces, a course focused on the application of quite complicated techniques.
We have put together our own “Advanced Reiki Training”, but what we teach is quite different. Instead of focusing on the application of techniques, we focus on helping the student to develop their intuition, to explore the power of intent, to develop their sensitivity to the energy, to develop their ability as a channel, and to enhance their self-healing.
We have called this course the "Reiki Deepening Course" and we feel that this course will be of benefit to a great many people who are actively working with Reiki. From what we can see, there does not seem to be anything else like this course currently available elsewhere.
The course materials consist of a comprehensive manual and detailed course instructions which you download, and two audio CDs which we send to you through the post.
A Course for people at Second Degree, or Masters
We have put this course together firstly for the benefit of Second Degree students who do not feel that they want to move on to Master / Teacher level at this time, but who feel that they would like to take things further and develop themselves, or deepen their connection to or experience of the energy. This course will help students to:
- Deepen their experience of the energies
- Enhance their self-treatments
- Enhance their treatment of others
- Explore the versatility and power of intent
- Explore their intuitive potential
This course is not for everyone: it is only for those who have been working with the energy regularly on themselves and on other people, those who are motivated and experienced. Potential students will have attended a Second Degree Reiki course at least 6 months before starting the "Deepening" course date, and they should be working on themselves and others regularly.
This course is also for Reiki Masters/Teachers who have not trained with Reiki Evolution and who would like to explore some different ways of experiencing the energy, enhance their self-healing, free up their practice and explore the power of intent and the potential of their own intuition.

Receive one-to-one support as you work through your course
It would not really be good enough to just give a student some training materials and tell them to get on with it. We think that it is very important to make sure that our home study students have carried out all the practical exercises that they need to carry out in order to feel confident in what they are doing, and it is important that we are on hand to answer and questions or queries that our students have, and to advise them and support them as they progress through their course.
What we do is to break the course down into a series of stages, or 'projects', where for each stage the student does some reading, listens to the audio commentary, carries out practical energy exercises and then sends us feedback by e-mail to let us know what they have done and what they have experienced. We can then gear our support to what the student has done and what they need. Training is one-to-one.

The Audio CDs
Our Reiki Deepening home study course uses two audio CDs. The first contains commentary tracks which summarise the main themes of your course, and the other CD contains guided meditations that you will use during your course. By having on CD the main things that are said to you on a live course, you really receive a version of 'live' training, but in the comfort of your living room, or your car, or on a walk (using a Walkman) or wherever you choose to listen to your CD. You can, in effect, 'replay' your teacher again and again!
The Course Manual
Each Reiki Evolution course is accompanied by a comprehensive manual that covers everything we teach during your course, and more besides. Our Deepening course manual runs to 50 A4 pages and provides you with a permanent record of your training. It is a useful reference volume. For the Reiki Deepening home study course you download your course manual (and the course instructions) but if you wish you can request a professionally-printed copy of the course manual at no extra charge.

The Certificate
The Reiki Deepening home study course is accompanied by an attractive certificate written in Japanese kanji and Western text, displaying the seal of the Reiki Evolution school and signed by Taggart King, your teacher. In this case your certificate confirms that you have received instruction in hara development and sacred sound and have explored intent and intuition.

Course overview
Here is an overview of the way that the Home Study course will work, showing in general terms what you will be doing during each of the five stages of the course.
| Stage 1 | This stage sets a solid foundation for the projects to follow. You will be carrying out daily energy exercises, a self-treatment meditation, working with the characteristic energies of CKR and SHK, and learning to open up to intuitive working when you treat. This stage will last for a month, unless you have already trained with Reiki Evolution, in which case you will already be familiar with these practices and we can just go over them for a couple of weeks. |

| Stage 2 | This stage introduces you to a powerful self-healing practice that Usui Sensei taught, and which focuses on the hara. You will work with this exercise for a couple of weeks, though you will be continuing with the exercise throughout the rest of the course and beyond. |
| Stage 3 | This stage introduces you to the Reiki Kotodama, sacred Shinto mantras that predate the use of symbols within Reiki and which can be used for self-healing and for treating others. You will spend a month getting to grips with three special sounds, learning to experience their energies, use them in practice when working on yourself and others, and compare their energies with the energies of the Reiki symbols. |
| Stage 4 | This stage is all about exploring the power and versatility of your intent, when working on yourself and working on others. You will learn to focus the energy effortlessly in different ways, and find out how to control the nature of the energy that you are working with, without using symbols or kotodama. |
| Stage 5 | This stage is all about intuition: discovering how intuitive you already are, and learning different ways in which you can access intuitive knowledge about the energetic state of yourself and others. We start with the foundation of the "Reiji ho" method, and use this approach creatively, exploring different intuitive approaches and learning how to perceive someone's chakras. |
Ongoing Support and Advice
Once you've been on your Reiki Deepening home study course we want you to know that Taggart and Lorraine will be on hand to be on hand to deal with any questions or queries that you might have and to help and support you in your practice of Reiki. We have tried to set up various ways that we can support you, and our students can support each other. This is what we offer at the moment:
- Internet Support/Discussion group for all our students. You can contact approx. 1,200 other Reiki people (September 2007 figures) who have done the same training as you, Reiki1s, Reiki2s and Masters. If you have any queries, if you have any ideas that you want to share, if you want to simply enthuse about something, then go ahead.
- Free distant Reiju empowerments each week anytime on a Monday. Every week you can 'tune yourself in' to a Reiju empowerment from Taggart, anytime on a Monday (and more than once if you like!). This will give your Reiki practice a real boost and echoes the way that Reiki was taught by Mikao Usui, with empowerments week-in week-out throughout your training.
- Access to a network of regular Reiki shares (get-togethers) at various UK locations where you can meet other Reiki Evolution students, chat, receive Reiju empowerments and swap treatments
- Free ongoing support and advice by e-mail or telephone.
