Hello, my name is Sue Jones and I teach the Reiki Evolution courses that cover the counties of Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk. I live and teach in the beautiful mediaeval market town of Saffron Walden in the North West corner of Essex, which borders onto all four of these counties.
I completed all of my training with Taggart and have been teaching all levels of Reiki courses since 2001, I was then invited to join Reiki Evolution as a Master Teacher in August 2004. I host a First Degree Reiki course every month and a Second Degree course every other month; I also teach Reiki Master-Teacher courses twice a year and the new ‘Reiki Deepening Course’.
Should the dates that are listed on the web site not be suitable to you, then alternative dates may be arranged with me to accommodate your requirements. One to one tuition with me is also available by request.

Teaching Reiki
Teaching Reiki has become one of the most significant aspects of my life as it helps me to fulfil my aspiration to assist others along their life’s path whilst at the same time, travelling and developing in my own particular direction. Being able to help others in their search of personal development and empowerment is something that I feel honoured to be a part of.

My Reiki Courses
I believe that the best way to find the right teacher, whatever the subject is to go with what feels right to you. When you are comfortable with your choice of tutor, you enter a relaxed and nurturing environment and your learning ability is enhanced, the whole experience takes on a deeper meaning. This is what I aim to achieve when I teach on my Reiki courses.
Students have told me that my courses are taught in an informal way with equal amounts of friendliness, fun, understanding, enthusiasm, and down to earth practicality, making the day an enjoyable, fulfilling and rewarding one, often with lasting friendships as a result. My Background
I have worked as a Holistic Therapist for the past twelve years and in that time I had been employed by Social Services, providing for the needs of Carers, Adults with learning disabilities, Alzheimer sufferers and Mental Health care. Six years ago, this service was withdrawn and I became self-employed as a result of my clients requests to continue to have treatments with me on a private basis.
I discovered Reiki whilst searching for a ‘Certain Something’ to bring together the treatments that I provided and I had heard of Reiki as being a ‘hands-on healing treatment’.
I was looking for a deeper level of ‘connection’ with my clients (many of whom did not have the ability to communicate easily) rather than to provide just ‘another therapy’ that other therapists could provide, I wanted something that was like a type of mortar that held all the bricks together. I knew that the ‘healing’ benefits of Reiki on the body, mind and spirit, was what I was looking for.
Initially I thought that I would use Reiki as another therapeutic tool as I didn’t realise its potential in personal development at that time. But I received something far greater than that on the day of my First Degree course.
What Reiki has done for Me
When I attended my First Degree course I had a painful foot condition that I’d been suffering with for many months and I was due to see the Consultant.
During my treatment I received what can only described as a ‘whoosh’ of energy that surged up my leg - quite unexpected and totally painless - as I got off the couch, I noticed that the pain had completely gone and it never returned.
This convinced me that there ‘Really was something’ going-on. So I signed up to attend the Second Degree as soon as possible.
It was some time later that I began to notice the changes within myself, I started to accepted things in a more relaxed and calmer state of mind.
I prioritised the events and happenings in my life in a way that encouraged me to go with the flow more readily, causing me to experience far less stress and enabling me to give my support to those around me rather than to suffer along-side them.
I feel that I am better able to cope with ‘eventful occurrences’ as and when they happen throughout my life.
My Asthma and Hay-fever symptoms have also greatly diminished over the years, which makes the summer far more enjoyable.
Reiki constantly enhances my life, touching upon every facet of who I am.
Workshop Days*
I host one day workshops in Crystal Healing and Tibetan Acupressure Head massage, they are introductory courses, making them accessible for everyone, so you do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge of any other therapy at all.
Reiki enhances the potential of any Holistic therapy and my clients and students have asked if I would teach them some simple additional skills which they could use on family and friends.
Maybe you just want to give your Reiki an added dimension.
The Crystal workshop introduces you to the use of crystals to enhance your own life and how to incorporate them into your Reiki treatments. A set of chakra crystals are included in the course fee.
The Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage workshop introduces you to some amazingly simple techniques that allow you to give a treatment that is very deeply relaxing and stress relieving.
