“The course content contained all the relevant sections as stated in the manual and I found that this made the course easy to follow. The ‘connection rituals’ were at first strange, powerful and enlightening. Definitely an experience which I will never forget. “I have completed Reiki 1 & 2 with Louise and have thoroughly enjoyed both days even though I was a little nervous with Reiki 1. Louise presented both days with clarity but was flexible in her approach which allowed for our concentration on particular areas of interest.
The CD and manual were a valuable tool in introducing the two days, in an easy and enjoyable fashion.
Reiki has helped me through a difficult time of adjustment. I have rheumatoid arthritis and was just coming through a ‘flare up’ when I started Reiki. “What a difference to the First Reiki course I attended! I did not do Reiki 1 with Reiki Evolution. The first course did not give you any kind of prior learning to do and the manual given to me afterwards was poor. It was unfortunate, because I felt that I had missed out slightly being so unprepared the first time.
The Reiki Evolution manuals were wasy to understand and very comprehensive. The CD was almost relaxation in itself – who needs meditation! Taggart’s voice is easy to listen to and the CD together with the manual helped me to feel very prepared.

Louise was a very warm and friendly person who made me feel very at ease even though I was nervous about doing the course. The location for the course was lovely and it was nice to receive the level of attention given. The Reiju empowerments were beautiful and whilst I did not have “bells and whistles” they have certainly made their mark on me.”

”I have recently taken my First Degree in Reiki at your Melton workshop. I found the whole experience very enlightening and informative. After receiving the manual and CDs, both of which I have found invaluable to me, I felt this was definitely the direction in which I wanted to take my life.
I had always been a follower of the Spiritual Church and have often been told that I had the “gift” to heal, but I felt there was always something missing. I always knew of the energies that surround us but had never really been shown how to connect to them or indeed how they could be used.
The very first thing that struck me when I received your information pack was how Reiki is firstly a tool to help heal your own inner self and then from there help others. This in itself was new to me as I have always been told that you give out healing to others. Nothing has ever been mentioned about giving yourself a good boost of what you are trying to give out. It seems so obvious now after embarking on this journey as a lot of these healers that I have had contact with were in fact the ones that could probably have done with some.
The course I went on turned into a wonderful experience and Louise Heseltine who was teaching us was a very warm and friendly person, you could not fail but to feel welcome and at ease. Her enthusiasm rubbed off onto us almost immediately. From the very first exercise we could all feel the energies around us and also within. Everything within the course I found easy to follow as it was so well laid out. I came away I feel a more confident person and one who will without doubt spread the benefits of Reiki to others. I tried out these new teachings on my immediate family and even my son who is sceptical of these things couldn’t believe how he felt when I started to give him some Reiki. I even went one step further and my dog who has just had pups was stressing about with them. I laid her down and did Reiki on her within minutes she was fast asleep on my knees with all her pups feeding happily. I have been doing my Hatsurei daily and I have also received the distant Reiju empowerments. I am amazed at the visions and feelings I get during this time. I cannot wait to start on my Reiki2.

”I am so glad I found the Reiki Evolution Web Site and chose your course.
The course material was excellent. Well produced, well structured and clear to read and understand and the accompanying CD was very helpful to listen to at an odd moment when getting out the book was not practical.The meditation CD I find more than helpful. I’m not a very meditative person. My mind is always thinking ahead to the next project whilst finishing the last. Mindfulness does not coming easy to me! However, the CD helps me to stay focused which would not be the case left to my own devices. I also like the fact that the course is so flexible in that there are lots of options on how to practise Reiki on yourself and on others – it allows you to find the best method, the one that works best for you. I love the simplicity of it. My life is complicated enough!
The live course was so much fun. From the moment I walked through the door I felt welcomed and within minutes, Louise had our small group chatting as though we had know each other for years. It was obvious that we had all done our ‘homework’ so the day flowed smoothly. The structure of the day had been well thought out and each section of the course built upon the last so that by the afternoon we were more than comfortable scanning each other and giving a Reiki treatment.
The bonus for me was that during the first Empowerment, Louise fixed my neck! The day before the live course I had put my neck out and this developed into a migraine type headache which was so bad I took to my bed and I’ll admit that I was feeling a bit fragile when I turned up for the course. But during the first Empowerment I felt a tremendous heat on the back of my neck and at the end, when I moved, I could feel it click into place. I’ve been doing Hatsurei and the Self Healing meditation daily and I have had no problems with my neck (or back) since the day of the course – a definite bonus and more than enough incentive to carry on!
It is obvious that Louise is very committed to Reiki and is so enthusiastic about it and loves to share that enthusiasm. All her anecdotes were appropriate to the section of the course we were dealing with and all our comments, views and observations were listened to sympathetically and all our questions answered in the same manner.
I did not intend to take Reiki any further but after the course I found that I did want to go further and to learn more. This in part, I think, is due to Louise’s attitude to Reiki and her enthusiasm. I have applied to do Level 2 and have received the course material which as I expected is excellent. I love the fact that the symbols are on a separate piece of paper as well as in the manual as I can keep this in my bag and whenever I have a few spare moments I can practise drawing them. As is usual with me I tend to skim through anything new to get the feel of it before I start to put the flesh on it and I had to smile when I came to the section on other uses of Reiki!
I do payroll for 950 weekly paid men and although it is computerised, we still maintain the old attendance cards. You can appreciate that there is nothing more annoying than when a card is misfiled and you are working to a strict deadline. I could feel myself getting annoyed (yes, I know, put the precepts on my monitor!) so I took a deep breath and the next thing I knew I was connected to Reiki. I thought about this for a moment and then scanned for the card and found it! I felt a bit guilty afterwards thinking this was maybe unethical in some way but justified it by telling myself I was doing a bit of self healing. Finding the card in that way was stopping me becoming stressed!
I haven’t had many opportunities or the confidence to practise giving treatments to people yet but my dogs have been more than willing ‘guinea pigs’. In fact I think that Piper my young Aussie bitch is addicted to it as she will push for a treatment whenever she feels like it, moving off when she has had enough! In fact I’ve found that I just have to walk into the Vets for my hands to start tingling!
I have done some head and shoulder treatments on my husband whose comments are, as I put my hands on his shoulders, “your hands are hot” then he promptly falls asleep!
I am looking forward to the next live course which I am confident will be as enjoyable as the last."

”I loved the idea of receiving the course manual up front and having time to read, digest and read again before going on the live day. With the manual the print and language used made it easy to read.. From what I had already read the course content felt concise, to the point – the CD really helped with the narrative.
Louise was warm and welcoming. There were 3 on the course and I felt it catered for my needs and Louise was concerned about everyone’s requirements. This meant timings slipped and we were a little late finishing, but it felt paced well.

Louise’s hospitality was great and as before we all felt welcomed. The course itself was great fun as we tried out all the various techniques on each other and looking back, I can not believe how much we crammed into one day especially as at no time did I feel I was being rushed.
I had some ‘bells & whistles’ this time which was wonderful and this has carried on into the symbol meditations, which I try to do regularly and even the distant empowerments.
I literally buzzed for two weeks after the course – I seemed to be permanently connected to Reiki which was lovely.
I really appreciate the internet support/discussion group – this has been a mine of information and any queries I’ve had, I’ve found that the question has been raised before and the beauty of it is that you get answers from more than one experienced practioner who all give basically the same answer but often from a different perspective. It’s a wonderful idea and I am amazed at the kindness shown to strangers who are often in such terrible situations – Reiki people are truly ‘nice’ people.
Has Reiki changed my life? I think so. I don’t get exasperated as often as I used to, I’m much calmer and slightly more relaxed than before. My life is just as busy but I don’t get in such a panic when deadlines approach as I know that everything will get done and on time!
Will I take it further? I don’t know, I’d like to think I will at some point. Louise seems such a ‘balanced’ person and after all, who doesn’t want to be ‘balanced’ and one of the ‘nice’ people?"

Although your course is more expensive than some others I do believe I got excellent value for money what with reference books, CDs, live course and after course backup. “What a day and what a course ! (Reiki Deepening Course)
The manual was excellent, as usual, with all aspects of the course clearly laid out – which was just as well as a lot of the subject matter was new to me and I’ll admit to a slight panic and a “what have I let myself in for” feeling. I struggled with the concept of chakras as this was something I only had a hazy understanding of but as usual Louise came to the rescue by recommending an excellent book which explained the concept clearly and I got quite caught up in all things chakra for a while!
I am indebted to Louise for her back up before the live course. No query was “too silly” for her and her clear explanations and guidance made the home study side of the course flow more smoothly. The day itself was wonderful – so relaxed but at the same time productive. Again I am amazed by how much we covered on the day.
The highlight for me was the chakra perception exercise. I went into this with no real expectation of perceiving anything. Boy was I wrong! I was so absolutely amazed and delighted to actually perceive my partner’s root chakra that I succumbed to a fit of the giggles. I could not believe what I had just done, even now when I think of it I have a chuckle!
Needless to say I lost the flow and left to myself, I would have stopped “on a good note” as I do when training the dogs. Fortunately, Louise gently encouraged me to carry on which I am so glad she did as we were able to talk through what we had done and seen and to “cmpare notes”. This has given me the confidence to “play” with this knowing that I will not always be successful but that the ability IS there.
I would recommend this course highly. Not only have I learned some amazing techniques but I feel that it has strengthened my connection to the energy and that everything has now “settled into place”.
I feel that if anyone was considering doing the Master/Teacher course then the Deepening Course would be an excellent “first step” on that journey. Thank you, Louise, for a great day and to Taggart, for such marvellous course material.”

“I enjoyed working through the manual and CDs very much. The materials are easy to follow and understand and are very accessible.
I have attended several courses on many subjects and recently have been extremely disappointed by poor quality materials, poor presentation and a kind of “rip-off” attitude in course organisers/presenters. I was, therefore, just a bit cynical coming to the Reiki course.
However, my cynicism was totally unjustified. Right from the first hello on a wet and windy Sunday morning to the cheery goodbye on the equally wet and windy Sunday evening, the day was an absolute joy.
Louise’s manner and method of teaching were excellent. We were made to feel welcome and felt at ease to ask any questions, no matter how basic. “After reserving my place on the course my Shoden manual and CDs arrived soon afterwards, together with all the pre-course instructions clearly identified. My first thoughts were “I’ll never read all this” but the manual was easy to read and understand, backe dup with the two CDs.
Not knowing what to expect on the live course – I had a wonderful day. Louise is an excellent teacher, friendly, enthusiastic about Reiki and welcomed us into her home. The group interacted well and benefited from the practical experiences.

“I came to Reiki for purely financial reasons. Believing that offering another therapy in my counselling practice would be an advantage… as it is. However, all that changed when I attended Reiki I with Louise Heseltine. Reiki became an important, meaningful part of my life.
Originally I was sceptical and a little suspicious when I went onto the Internet looking for a Reiki course. There were several sites of interest but something drew me to Reiki Evolution… it just felt right for me. Whenever possible, I prefer to hear the voice of the person that I am dealing with so I made my first contact on the telephone. Fortunately Lorraine answered, after talking for a while my uncertainties were allayed. I felt confident with Lorraine so sent off the deposit to book the course.
When I met Louise I was immediately impressed by her professionalism. Louise is a gifted teacher with an extensive knowledge of Reiki. Possessed of a good sense of humour and plenty of common sense… this I found reassuring. Her spiritualism was phenomenal and a wonderful inspiration to the group.
Reiki 1. Shoden. I experienced a fairly violent physical reaction. Incontrollable coughing, many tears, tingling, vibrations, extremes of heat. Visually I saw white sunsets and beams of light. A fantastic experience albeit slightly unnerving. After completing my Reiki 1 I re-married and moved to Spain. When I decided to continue and take my Second Degree there was no other teacher for me, without hesitation I travelled to the UK>
Reiki 2 Okuden proved to be one of the most profound and beautiful experiences of my life. During the final Reiju empowerment I saw a large black Treble Clef. Louise suggested that I might have received a symbol. We found a resemblance in “Magic of Reiki” p256 Walking on Air.
CKR induced within me a warm tingling sensation. I felt very attuned to this symbol a feeling that has stayed within me. This symbol has helped me with a minor health problem.
SHK very little physically but visually I saw a sky full of small floating clouds, the snow and snowflakes falling all around, followed by a shower of white feathers, white beams of light and the white sunset again.
When the time was right for me to take my Masters I chose to continue my journey with Louise. Each step has been progressive but while studying for Shinpiden I became of a gradual change within. I was moving much closer to reaching a greater understanding of Reiki and a realisation that this was just the beginning. I will always be indebted to Louise for guiding me towards a wonderful, exciting, spiritual journey. Reiki has altered my perspective of life… I think for the better. Whatever happens in the future? Reiki is with me forever… no one can take it away. Thank you Taggart and Lorraine, without you I may not have taken the first step.”

"I've really enjoyed the Reiki course so far and was very happy to receive my certificate. The course material is great and gave me the chance to learn more about Reiki and answered questions that I had with regards to its origins and how the energy is channelled etc, plus many other things that I had wondered about.
I found the CD very helpful to listen to as it helped me to remember what I was reading, and I like the fact that you reassure that everyone's reactions and experience can be very different. I felt I had plenty of time to really go through it all.
The actual course itself with Louise was brilliant. I managed to get lost on the way, so was a bit stressed by the time I got there as I was late, but Louise was so nice and calm about it all and helped me to relax in no time. The whole day was such a nice experience. I got good reactions on the first 2 empowerments and saw lights and felt a wonderful warmth and calmness, I didn't really see any colours but I didn't worry about this due to the course material I had read and listened too. On the 3rd empowerment I saw a bright green triangle of light and then purple colours, which was lovely and felt so calm afterwards. Any doubts about whether Reiki was going to work were wiped away after myself and the other lady on the course practised on each other, we both felt the energy channel through us when giving the treatment and felt the wonderful effects of receiving it too. Louise made the whole day really interesting, and guided and encouraged us.
She did advise us about the different reactions afterwards, as does the course material. I did have quite a rough week last week, feeling very up and down and quite irritable and tired, I was really struggling with my Hatseuri Ho and self healing. But this week, things are different and I feel alot better. My mediation was so much easier last night and I managed to stop my mind wandering and really felt myself merge with the energy, I saw purple and green again and felt tingles all over.
I would definately recommend this course and Louise as a teacher. I am going to do lots of practise (I have plenty of volunteers of course!!) and join the group on Yahoo to share experiences.
I look forward to doing 2nd Degree with Louise when the time feels right, hopefully in the not too distant future."

"How I wish I could do the RMT course every weekend. It was certainly a weekend to treasure. From the first, Louise’s warmth shone through and the atmosphere throughout the weekend was terrific.
When I saw the course material, I was concerned that I might not have given myself enough time to cover it all but the subject matter was so well laid out and so well broken down into small steps that once the initial panic was over, I realised that it wasn’t so bad after all! I found the DVD invaluable and of course, Louise was there for back up as usual.
The two days went so smoothly that we found time to explore and experiment, although not at the expense of the course material which was covered thoroughly. I’m always amazed at how much we do on these courses. There always seems to be time for everything plus extras although not once do I ever feel things are rushed or pushed.
To receive an empowerment is a wonderful thing, I found out on the Sunday that to give one is just as wonderful and for me this was the highlight of the weekend, something I will remember forever.
My thanks to Louise for her encouragement and guidance and to Taggart for such excellent material which will always be available for reference.
From someone who initially intended to go no further than Reik 1, I just wish there was another course to attend – I’m hooked!"

”The course manual is excellent. So well written and easy to follow. Good use of photos. CDs really useful – I was able to use travelling time in my job to absorb information.
I had been looking forward to the Reiki day – the live training. Apprehensive climbing the stairs to the second floor above the shop – would there really be anyone the other side of the door – would I be safe even?!
The room was calm, clean, simple, organised, and I was soon drinking coffee with Louise, and Lucy another student. Louise is an open person. She made Reiki accessible and recognised that we all came with different “takes” on it, different paths.
The empowerments that I received from Louise were an incredibly special experience. Three quite different but significant experiences. Receiving the first empowerment was beautiful, and I felt Reiki move all the way through me, like a wonderful shower of pinpoints of light sweeping down through me. I was just smiling with the feeling of real joy – sunshine. As it ended I felt my eyes roll back and upwards – pulled upwards and back. I decided not to try to resist.
The second two empowerments felt deeper, heavier. No light through me but still colours to see – purple, gold, and patterns. Heaviness, stillness. Peace.
By nature (or nurture!) and profession I am critical, although I don’t always express that criticism. When I’m asked for feedback that’s what I usually do – offer criticism that I intend to be constructive. That doesn’t feel appropriate or necessary for my First Degree experience. Reiki is already changing me!
I have begun my Reiki path. And I am happy that Louise is there to refer to as I practice Hatsurei and self-treatment, and that Reiki Evolution seems to support its students well.”

”I had the most wonderful experience on my 2nd Degree course at your new Dartford location. Louise Heseltine is a fabulous teacher. I really opened up to her the minute I saw her. "I am still flying from the weekend! The content of the course was excellent. We found that we were covering parts of the course before we actually got to the items such was our discussion and enthusiasm! So the agenda provided structure and a useful checklist throughout.
The pre-course work was meticulously worked out and catered for the many different learning styles. I enjoyed it immensely and simply couldn't wait to get on the course and share Reiki experiences with others.
I really love Louise's energy. Whilst you seem very relaxed and laid back (though of course, I haven't met you!) Louise's enthusiasm complements you beautifully. She is a genuine warm hearted soul with a passion for teaching and learning at the same time.

"I really enjoyed the live course day with Louise. Because of a cancellation, it ended up being a one-to-one. She did give me the option of changing to a different date but I wanted to go ahead as I had been looking forward to it for ages and made various arragements. In choosing to go ahead with the one-to-one I had felt concerned that it would be a compromise, as part of my reason for doing the live course was to work alongside other people. However, I have to say it was no compromise at all – I had an amazing day! To have the benefit of Louise’s one-to-one guidance all day was a fantastic opportunity and has given me an insight and connection with Reiki deeper than I could have imagined before.
I am really pleased that I have now done a live course and a home study course. I can see how each would suit a different kind of person, but for me, to have done one of each is ideal. The live human connection on a live course is something that feels essential to Reiki, but I don’t think I would have been anywhere near as comfortable with the ideas involving distance work, nor perhaps had as thorough a grounding, if I had not started with the home study course. I definitely want to go ahead and do the Master/Teacher course, and I have a few months to decide which format to go for!"

"I found all the course materials excellent, I dipped into the meditations prior to the reiki course and found I could meditate again, however since attending the course I can appreciate the difference between reaching a peaceful meditation and being connected and carrying out the meditation.
Your audio cd was excellent, it helped me really retain the information and concrete in my mind what i'd read in the manual.

"I thought that the course materials were very good indeed - it was very helpful to have the CD, which backed up the manual. I found it to be clearly and logically laid out. I spent quite a lot more than 9 hours studying prior to my live training day, but I guess that varies enormously from person to person.
The live training day was good, with only two other 'students' and Louise, the teacher. This gave us all plenty of time to learn a little about each other before the teaching began, which was nice. Louise was very informal, which helped put us at ease, and I enjoyed the day."
