At Reiki Evolution we routinely ask our students to let us have their feedback about the training and support that they receive. "Dear Taggart,
Firstly, when I received your manual I thought at first "there's no way I am going to remember any of this!", as the manual was about one inch think. However, after I started to read I found the information easy to digest and extremely interesting. I'd read books about Reiki but the manual seemed to fill in the gaps that general bookws just didn't explain.
Secondly, I drove to Margaret Craig's house in Glasgow expecting to see a bunch of people impatiently waiting for me, as I was stuck in traffic, and thought it was going to be difficult for me to join in. It couldn't have been more different. Margaret was so welcoming when I finally arrived. There was only one other lady there are the whole environment was so relaxing and friendly it was as though I knew them as friends already.
Thirdly, the day was laid out almost exactly as described in the manual. I was already familiar with the CDs, so this made it easy for me to follow instructions during my empowerments. I wasn't sure what to expect during my empowerments but I can definitely say that all three were very strong visually and physically. At one point I could feel a whirlwind blowing from above my head and spiralling larger and larger until it engulfed me. I thought I was going to open my eyes and see an air-fan in Margaret's hands, but there was nothing there and Margaret could not have made air whirl in such an unusual way - it made me feel extremely special and excited that this could happen to me.
After the day was over Margaret gave me lots of helpful advice and support. I felt and still feel that I have a lovely bond with both Margaret and the other lady who was being attuned as well. Margaret has contacted me several times since the empowerments to make sure I'm ok. I'm extremely excited aboutthe prospects which have opened up to me and I can't wait to do my Second Degree Reiki!

"What can I say, the day went beyond all my expectations. Before the course, part of me was very sceptical about the whole thing. I was worried that these people were a bit wacko and were only interested in ripping me off. How wrong I was! I couldn’t believe it when I felt a series of different sensations during the empowerments. I don’t want to go into too much detail and spoil it for anyone else who’s thinking about taking the course.
I’d certainly recommend anyone who’s thinking about doing a Reiki course to stop thinking and do it! The people I’ve treated since are amazed at what they’ve felt during the treatment. At first they all joked about it and looked at me like I’d horns growing out my head. But they soon changed their tune and now they keep on asking for more!
During the day I found it difficult to actually believe that I could channel the energy. I was told and re-told to “get that ego to the side” so, needless to say I did and now I just accept that the energy will go where its meant to and believe me it does!
The course manual & CD are fabulous, they keep me right – its good to have something you can refer to if needed. Reading the manual makes so much more sense once you’ve completed the course too.
Even after the course the support from Taggart & Margaret has been great – I’ve emailed them about treatments I’ve done and they’ve always answered my questions really quickly and make you feel more confident about what your doing.
Margaret Craig is a fantastic teacher who makes you feel at ease and very welcome. You feel like you’ve known her for years. Normally I don’t like going to places on my own and I was never very happy about meeting new people – I always felt uneasy in those types of circumstances. I couldn’t believe I was actually going to course with a group of people I’d never met before – but I did it and unusually I wasn’t nervous about it in the slightest.

"Why do a 198 mile round trip to Glasgow, when two miles down the road there were Reiki One courses on offer, the answer "it felt right".
Margaret was well worth the early rise and journey to be there. I gained so much from the day. From the warm welcome on our first meeting, Margaret's encouragement and support throughout the experience of the Reiki empowerments, to the goodbye at the end of the day.

I very much appreciate the thought and detail and wide range of topics which you have covered in the manual. The preentation throughout is in very clear and understandable language. The section "What people feel when they are treated" I found very useful.

I find the CD very engaging throughout and I very much enjoy listening to your voice every night guiding me thorugh Hatsu Rei before floating off to bed.
Presentation
I found Margaret very warm and welcoming on arriving at her home which had a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. She very clearly presented the events of the day and led us through each section with very clear instruction. The attunements were an amaizng experience and I really felt that I was on a spiritual journey - I had an amazing experience of journeying through space and time. Even after my first experience of Reiki, I feel that it has enhanced my connection with Buddhism and Meditation which I have been involved with for the last 20 years. "The manual seems very good and detailed. I think it is very complete and the historical info and insights into the Japanese approaches to Reiki are wonderful. The photographs are brilliant as a guide to hatsurei, self-treatment and treatment. Overall, the combination of Western and Japanese information gives a thorough grounding very quickly (I suspect I would have to read many books to get such a grounded view).
The CD is a great aid to navigating through the manual and the guided meditations are excellent! I think I will use them indefinitely. To sum up: the manual and CD together are ideal.
The day course with Margaret was wonderful. It was a relaxing day yet also quite profound for me as I experienced some lovely feelings during the empowerments.
Margaret is a sincere and caring teacher and I am in no doubt she has a great knowledge of Reiki and other spiritual subjects. To be honest, the course was (in theory) a strange thing for me to attend but I felt happy and relaxed throughout and left feeling that Reiki was right for me.

“It is not often that I am lost for words but the RMT course with Margaret was amazing! Having read the manual many times and listened to the CD at every opportunity the whole two days crystallized everything with ease for me and also gave me some other things to think about.
Reiju empowerments felt safe, simple and powerful, in contrast to the Western attunements, that, while more elaborate, also felt to me to be lacking in something, almost like a plastic version of the real thing… not as solid? Like I said, the words are not so easy but the feeling was definitely there.
The kotodama were also very interesting for me. Feeling the resonance in my body then the energy joining this created powerful waves that felt to be physically moving my body.
The course materials were excellent and made the whole transition to the training days so much easier. The CDs and DVD are a great idea to anchor the detail. I had some fun following the movements on the DVD trying to get the “flow”… but it works!

“I found the course content an excellent follow-on from First Degree. It is very comprehensive and the explanations of the symbols, increasing the flow of energy and the distant healing sections were both fascinating and instructive.

”It’s difficult to know where to start! I was feeling a “pull” towards Reiki for quite some time before making enquiries about the First Degree course. There were many on offer on the Internet but, for some reason, I was drawn to your course as I felt it would be more comprehensive and would have a professional approach – and I have not been disappointed.

"Before deciding to book a course I had confused myself for some time reading online about the supposedly complicated (and at times seemingly convoluted!) practice of Reiki. One of the first things that jumped out at me about your courses therefore was the simplicity and intuitive focus promoted: I believe this is sorely lacking in this day and age. Also, I became interested in Reiki as a personal endeavor (although it will be great to try to help others, of course!) and until discovering your website found it difficult to read anything online that promoted this important aspect of Reiki first and foremost. The final thing that made Reiki Evolution 'click' as the obvious choice for me was the focus on Japanese origin; on Usui's Reiki. Having lived in Japan for a year, I was disappointed not to come across Reiki at all, although with so many definitions of Reiki around, as you mentioned in the manual, it was hard to know what to look for!
The straightforward approach to Reiki put across in your manual is so user friendly and helps avoid cluttering and complicating something that to me is beautiful because it is simple. I was also struck by the fact that we are all connected to Reiki and all capable of experiencing this energy in our lives, which I had always been unsure of previously (that is, if I was 'able' or 'skilled' enough). Reading the manual was therefore also empowering and got me excited about Reiki as part of a personal lifestyle development, not as a one-off transaction between myself and a customer.
The layout of the course was also very helpful, as I could enjoy learning at my leisure before attending the course, and it has been beneficial to look back at the manual and have a range of approaches to choose from when carrying out various treatments. Having the CDs for reference is really useful, and helped me build confidence in carrying out energy exercises without any interruptions. For me, the only addition to make it perfect would be to have the background tracks for the meditations added to the CD also.
On the day of the course, Margaret was very welcoming and extremely supportive: she was sensitive to and very understanding of any uncertainties I had and this really helped me make the most of the day! It was a lovely atmosphere to work in and it felt great to have the support and encouragement of another person from whom I could learn so much: this made the day more personal and I was glad to be able to ask a few questions! I had some wonderful experiences and feelings when working with the Reiki energy and during my third empowerment and, although this is not the most important thing as I'm well aware, it was very special and really had an impact on me.
It is very exciting to now be aware of this energy and notice how it can feel, but mainly to feel so relaxed and at peace within myself and cherish the 'me time' each day. When I have these daily experiences it can make me physically achy, and other days feels very powerful and moving emotionally, which either way feels very healing.
Overall, the course was beyond my expectations - it was a life changing day for me and I now feel less stressed, more content day-to- day and better able to cope with challenges after only a fortnight! It really was a very special day and I'm so glad I finally made up my mind to go for it!"

"I really enjoyed my Reiki Second Degree. I had been apprehensive in what to expect and wondered if I was ‘ready’ to move on from 1st degree. I also received good feedback yesterday from Margaret that a lady attending the course had received some benefit to her arthritic knees after the treatment we gave her on the course. After the course I felt deeply relaxed and had a very deep sleep that evening.

"My day with Margaret was just right, very informal, relaxed and welcoming. Despite reading the manual and practising the meditations daily for over 6 weeks prior to my course I really didn't know what to expect as I was never able to feel the energy when practising alone, the odd tingle but nothing to write home about. It was quite overwhelming when Margaret started the empowerments, the world was a technical of purples blues and greens and my body temperature was all over the place but I really liked it. After lunch when we moved on to the treatments I was shocked at the power of the energy on my partners areas of discomfort (which were not discussed prior to treatment).
In the week following the course I have to admit that my emotions have been all over the place. Thankfully after sleeping most of this weekend this has subsided and I feel a renewed energy for life and a lot of the things I have been putting off!
