Taggart's manuals are excellent and it was so good to be able to study these before the course and not to have to take notes during the course and then worry if I had forgotten something.
Taggart's teaching methods impressed me very much and I found it easy to discuss things with him, the main difference being that I never heard the 'you don't need to know' statements which I had often heard in the past.

"I must say that the course was very good and very satisfying. The materials you provide are clear and consistent with your 'down to earth' approach that I admire so much. You manage to unfold deeper truths (or half truths) as the students advance their understanding. Your approach is very appropriate for people like me (engineers and a bit sceptical) and presumably for many other people as well.
Your course manuals are clear and well written and I would not add much to them. I would not take much off the course either although I recognise that you already pack a lot into two days. Your idea of including some pre-course home study is very good.
During the two days Master training you were very good adjusting the teaching (and practice) to the areas I was most comfortable with. This is sensible. I still believe that one must take Reiki one step at a time and that many truths you taught me during those two days will sink in later on.
What has impressed me most is not, however, the quality of your Masters course. It is your follow through. This is impressive and very appropriate. As you must suspect, many people like myself take these courses looking for meaning and/or trying to understand what science fails to explain about life, as we know it. The trainee gets a good feeling and thinks he/she understands much more about reality after the course, any course. But then, after a while, in most cases the feeling subsides and the subject has to seek another fix with another course, another doctrine, book or practice. This is basically a result of our weakness as human beings. We have been preconditioned to seek quick gratification/understanding/enlightenment; it is just a matter of paying for it. The truth is that one has to work at it (and abandon yourself to let it happen). Your follow through, the Master Updates, help us along the long journey to personal and human development. "I found the Reiki Mastership a profound and enlightening experience. In the weeks running up to the course, the prospect of what had to be learned was exciting but also daunting. I needn't have worried, the information sent out in advance, plus the teaching style made it all manageable.
Taggart's teaching style is professional and thorough and somehow at the same time relaxed and informal. Content is dealt with systematically, broken down into chunks and then gradually built up until you feel confident in all areas. After the day, you can refer to your very comprehensive handbook and reinforce what you have learned, knowing that it is all clearly laid out in black and white for you. My handbook is always close at hand. I use it as a constant source of reference.
It is evident that a lot of time and effort has been put into ensuring that you understand, retain and absorb the course content. I was grateful for the study pack, sent out in advance, which gave me a chance to familiarise myself with symbols and practise things at my own pace, so that I arrived on day one with a good grounding.
When looking at the symbols on day one, we felt the qualities of each symbol as Taggart demonstrated them on each of us. I thought this was valuable. It was surprising and revealing identifying the individual characteristics of each symbol and differentiating each one.
It was good to look at the symbols Taggart had channelled, and sharing his research with us brought a glimpse of all that is out there, and the fact that the Reiki Mastership is the beginning of a spiritual quest and not the end of it.
My difficulty now is finding something to criticise!
The follow-up 'Master Update Days' have been really good. It keeps the attunement process at your fingertips! - and provides a forum for questions, debate and new developments in Reiki.
After the Mastership course, I noticed a new spiritual quality to my own Reiki and a quiet confidence grew that I could pass this on to others. People have come to me to be attuned to Reiki and I have felt amazed, honoured and humbled to be able to do this and that somehow the circle is now complete."

"Dear Taggart,
I have found all your manuals to be very clear and informative, not just prior to the courses but as an ongoing reference. I think that having updated versions of your manuals available to us is great and means everyone can keep up with the latest information.
The Master course was excellent. It is always a bit scary going on a new course and meeting people you don't know. The atmosphere you create is so friendly and calm; all those types of fears just melt away, almost as soon as you step into the room. I enjoyed working on all the content on the Master course. I am glad we did the attunements on day one and empowerments on day two, thinking back I'm not sure I could have stayed conscious through the second day if it had been the other way round! Getting a feel for the new symbols and their associated energies as well as the kotodama was great too. I really like the idea of doing a self-empowerment integrated with Hatsurei and I have been working with that since the course.
The most valuable thing for me with regards to your courses has been the support given after the course. Knowing that I can pick up the phone or send an e-mail to get help with anything from whether I'm doing Hatsurei right or help with a clear out gives a sense of security and I don't feel isolated at all.
It's hard to talk about what has been going on since the course. I don't think I realised how strong the effect of the course was going to be. To us ethe term I feel like I've been dragged through a bush backwards would be an understatement! I have really spent the last few weeks trying to get myself sorted out.
I think that you are a very responsible Reiki practitioner and teacher and a very generous and kind person. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone. I would tell them that you are very up to date with your information; you are happy to share all new and old information and allow the students to form their own opinions on the various topics rather than imposing your own. I would say the courses are good value for money especially with the ongoing support from you and the discussion groups. I would also mention the Reiki shares and Reiki Practice Days as a brilliant way to practice your new skills, as well as the opportunity for self-healing. I would tell them that since I started to do Reiki I have been more aware of my own needs especially with my health, eating habits and my own energy, and more aware of how it is affecting my circumstances and those around me. I have been able to sleep so much better that if I went back in time and told myself that, I wouldn't believe me!
I know I'm very excited about using all the new techniques and symbols that I have learnt on the course and I am sure that there will be lots of new and exciting things to discover in the future.
Despite the fact that I've been going through a clear out, I am still happy that I took the course and I do feel a stronger connection with the energy, and in a funny way more accepting of it. I am very glad that I discovered Reiki and Reiki Evolution.

Manual - I very much appreciated all the detail, in full, in summaries and in pictures; very well presented - you seem to have thought of everything!
Content - the two Master manuals and all the other manuals seem very comprehensive to me. You have even included things that you are not entirely happy with, as well as everything else. Also it is good to have Western attunements as well as the Japanese empowerments. Having the kotodama at the end of the two days meant I felt I was starting on a new adventure rather than just finishing the course.
If I had to tell someone else about the course, I would tell them about the excellence above, especially the bit about the broad view of both Western and Japanese traditions. Also the relaxed atmosphere, your good leadership and that four people on a course is a good number.
I am most certainly glad that I have done the Mastership course. It has moved, and is still moving, things on since second degree. I was prompted to continue to Master level for two reasons: my health and personal growth, and because I want to finally do something I really love and feel committed to for a living.
The kotodama started a rotating energy in my head which is still going on. On the Monday after the course I was compelled to sit for nearly an hour as this beautiful movement happened. I can still feel it if I sit down and 'watch' for it. I feel it is a healing energy. When I left the course on Sunday evening I was conscious of a deep calm.
Reiki is my teacher and will continue to be now.

I really enjoyed the Master course and 'Witham' is a really nice venue - Thumbs up!
I don't think you need worry about the content of your courses, I certainly would not have completed my training with you had I not been impressed. I have just performed a Reiju empowerment on another Reiki Master who did not have knowledg eof the Japanese way - she was choked up and cried!!
For some reason going through Mastership has made me put my house on the market and go for it! I've been so busy arranging a move I haven't really had time to really use my Reiki to its fullest extent although I've done some treatments which do seem to be more powerful - I've been guided to do psychic surgery on the aura on one lady who said she could feel my hands inside her tummy!
Also I'm getting a closer link to spirit and my healing angel in particular, so I really feel that with each Reiki level I've developed spiritually and this was one of my hopes, so I haven't been disappointed.
I will be teaching my very first Reiki level one course in January, so I'll be in touch about that. Speak to you soon."

"Manual and Content
The manual is one of the most comprehensive I've seen, and as a collector of Reiki Manuals, I have seen quite a few. Taggart's manual could quite easily be converted into a book, and would be on par with the best Reiki books on the market today. One of the things that impressed me about the manual was the fact that it wasn't comprised solely of dry facts and techniques. There were actual case histories and comments wirtten by Taggart's clients and students. This "fleshed" out the manual - brought it to life, and made me feel that I was a participant - not just an observer.Taggart's research is impressive and he shares it all with his students thru his manual and his courses. It is patently evident that Taggart has spared no expense in putting together a high quality manual. These manuals, by the way, are downloadable files on Taggart's forum pages.
Presentation
The Reiki Master course, like all his other courses, was very well presented. One has no doubt that Taggart is totally conversant with the subject matter, and that he has fully mastered it himself. This gives us, his students, supreme confidence. I suppose that's one of the reasons that Taggart attracts students from other lineages. What they missed the first time round, they certainly receive from the Reiki Evolution courses.The course was well-balanced - catering for those like me who have a deep interest in the esoteric aspects of Reiki as well as for those whose only interest is in the exoteric. Taggart's ability to maintain everyone's interest is quite remarkable. Any debates that arose during the Master course I did with Taggart were brought to conclusion with everyone satisfied with the result.
Elements of the course
For me, the course was well-balanced. There were no elements that were too heavily emphasized, and none that were glossed over. And Taggart had so much patience! He let us practice attunements endlessly - we all needed this so that we could go away absolutely confident that we were fully capable and qualified to do this work. The practical aspects of the course were in good balance with the theoretical. I can think of nothing that could have been added or deleted to improve upon this very professional course.If I were going to tell someone about this course, I'd tell them that they'd have to go a long way to find a course with as much material as they'd find in Taggart's course. I'd tell them that they'd have a fruitless search finding a Reiki Master with Taggart's intelligence, commitment and ability to impart wisdom. I'd tell them that they will be made to feel part of this growing family of Reiki Masters and practitioners, and, just as importantly, that there is full follow up as Taggart makes himself available to all his students, and all his students are invited to become members of his online Reiki forum.
This forum, by the way, allows all of us to share our news and views, and to request distant healing for our friends, loved ones, and our clients. This is a very important aspect of any forum, and as it is for the sole use of Reiki Evolution students, there's none of the usual bickering, squabbling and flaming. Just a family of Reiki practitioners sharing with each other. This is not to say that there's no debate. Sometimes there is, but it's amicable and all parties are really just trying to learn - there are no hidden agendas.
Mastership
What has Mastership brought me? Mastership of self, no less. And it has given me the confidence to share what I know of Reiki and the practice of Reiki. It has enabled me to integrate my spiritual work with an ancient and powerful healing modality. The elements of Reiki that are taught in the Reiki Evolution Master Course, including some elements from the Advanced Japanese Techniques, such as Hatsu Rei Ho, totally integrate a spiritual practice into one's healing work, and one' work on oneself. There is nothing like it!The shift in energy, the heightening of my ability to effect change in myself and others, has been phenomenal. And my blossoming not only as a Reiki practitioner but as a person, has been a long sought after coming-of-age.
What prompted me to to Mastership? Two things. Firstly, my great desire to be in a position to "give something back" and secondly the confidence Taggart was able to instill in me - confidence that I can make a difference. Confidence that my personal growth can and will continue. And confidence that the education that I pass on to my own students is of the very highest quality.

"Thank you for an informative, enjoyable and meaningful course. In spite of the workload on Day 1, it proved to be a stimulating experience all round. Because of the calm, sincere and organised way in which you present your courses, you provide an ideal relaxed atmosphere in which to learn. This has to be a major 'plus' for your students
I was really surprised at the amount my brain retained immediately, although I'm aware I have to reinforce this with reference to your manuals - and that's fine by me.
I took the course because it seemed to be what I needed to do (for myself). Having done it, I know it's the start of yet another phase in my life's journey. Hopefully it'll be an interesting one for myself, family and friends.
Unlike the predictions about the '21' days after, nothing untoward has happened. However, there have been 2 or 3 occasions which I've reacted to in an amazingly calm manner. It's as though I've left a lot of opinions and habits/attitudes behind me and it feels better that way.
You may smile when I say that perhaps I was a monk in a previous life because I've taken to the kotodama as though I've been doing it forever. I read it once and I knew it instantly. It satisfies my strong connection to music which I can now express silently but with reason, knowing it's good for me.

"When I first received my Reiki one Manual I could hardly believe the size of it. I had obvious worries that I would never remember it all, however I was very excited at the prospect of learning about Reiki so I cracked on. Once I began reading my fears lifted as the content although comprehensive was very user friendly. In fact I was so enthralled that I read the entire manual and really enjoyed it.
The presentation of the course was fantastic, and very appropriate. Taggart had a very spiritual manner which helped to set the scene immensely.
The venue for my First degree, seemed a little bit small, but then I am quite tall.........however the new venue in Witham was lovely: very cosy and warming, I felt much more comfortable there, and was extremely relived to be taking my masters at this venue. In fact when creating the correct atmosphere for my Reiki one courses, I looked back to this venue for inspiration.
The structure of the course was perfect, a good balance of theory with practical work. The actual content was very comprehensive. I had taken my Reiki one else where, prior to taking it with Taggart, and the content left much to be desired, in comparison.
The ongoing support is absolutely brilliant, I love being part of the Reiki group emails, and have found the Audio CDs to be very beneficial.
Taggart has been completely selfless in his offers of support, I would never have got my Reiki one course off the ground without his help and guidance.
I cannot think of any changes that I would make to any of the courses. I loved every minute.
I would not hesitate in recommending anyone to come and study with Taggart King, last year I sent a friend I had met through Reiki to Taggart to re-do her masters course and I know she was very happy with the results.

"It must be about 5 weeks now since Mark and I were down in Essex - where have the days gone to!! It seems like only yesterday and yet also feels like it was a lifetime ago.
I just wanted you to know how much those two days have changed my Reiki practise.
Right from the first day that Reiki found me I have loved having it in my life but for a long time now I have known that there had to be something more. Not more complicated and confusing stuff but the simple and profound elegance of techniques like the Usui self treatment meditation, the Kotodama and actually merging with the energy.
Since coming back from your training course, I have used both the Kotodama (usually in my own mind) and the barometer technique where you can go up or down the scale of energy, and I have to say that Reiki has taken on a new and even more wonderful meaning for me.
It has also given Mark and I a lot of food for thought and the knowledge that we need to change some of the stuff we teach because it just doesn't feel right anymore.

I enjoyed the Masters course very much. On Monday I was still quite "spaced out" from all the meditations, chanting and attunements we had done. I was really "buzzing" after the weekend and felt wonderful, the other ladies on the course were very nice too, it is important that you all blend well together.
All the new things we learnt, the Kotodama, Antahkarana symbols I use regularly now and I feel it makes such a difference to treatments and of course daily Empowerments and Hatsurei.
I was very impressed with the way you still included aspects of Reiki in the course, which you do not feel is necessary to use yourself, but you keep an open minded view on them, giving us the chance to use them if we wish to, rather than trying to influence us to your way of thinking. You allow for everyone's individuality, which I have heard lacks in a lot of teachers.
I know that you do not feel it is necessary to make a Reiki grid for example, but because you included the information in the course, I really liked the sound of it and am in the process of putting one together.
We all find our own way of using the energy in the end, but we have all got a good understanding of it all through you. As I said before, I will highly recommend you to everyone, as you are an exceptional teacher.

I found your course manuals to be very comprehensive and well written. The material was in a layout that was easy to read, and the index at the front of the manuals allows for easy access to particular sections. Everything that you covered over the two day course was indeed in the manuals (just as well for the attunement procedures - I would never have remembered them from the weekend - my brain was a bit fogged - I wonder why...?!!)
Reiki is the ultimate chill out! It is an irreversible positive step for the better, that is life-changing to the person who is connected to the Reiki source (and those with whom they come into contact). Studying with Reiki Evolution opens up to the student a whole new network of like-minded people who support each other, and are together for 'the highest good of all concerned'.
I have found the (ongoing) support from yourself and Lorraine invaluable in helping me to grow more in Reiki. I say this both in the respect of you being my Reiki teachers, but also as my Reiki brother and sister (thanks in retrospect for your support during my 'rough' clearout period). If I have a query, then you do your utmost to get back to me as soon as possible (most of the time, on the same day).
If someone asked me whether they should enrol on one of your courses Taggart, I would wholeheartedly urge them to 'go for it', and give them a treatment as a taster of things to come! As I said to you after the course, I feel very privileged and fortunate to have been taught by you. I doubt whether there is anyone else around at the moment who is offering training of such a high standard. I also think that the whole package is excellent value for money.
Course materials: The manuals are very professional both in terms of information provided and presentation. What I particularly like about the manuals is the way you present the information - free of so much of the distortion and ego-based fear which permeates so much of what is being passed on in other circles. The historical information about the original teachings which stress the spiritual component of Reiki filled in what had always felt like huge gaps in my understanding and appreciation of Reiki. It feels like coming home.
The Master Course Manuals are nothing short of amazing. I cannot praise them highly enough. The step-by-step guides to passing attunements and carrying out empowerments, together with the accompanying visual material, have truly made me feel that I am capable of passing on this wonderful practice with confidence and integrity. And it is extremely reassuring to know that I can be kept up to date as well through the website and link up either with yourself or others who have been taught by you.

The style of course is very good. II really liked the idea of sending out course information before the course itself. I thing it gives the student the opportunity to absorb, in the information in their own time, It also prompts questions which can be answered either during the course or before hand. The information is excellent. Of a high standard and easy to read. It has clearly been researched and practised to have been written in the way that it is.
I have not come across the use of a CD on a course before but I think it is also a valuable learning tool. If only to have the student guessing over the person behind the voice... I found the CD information very informative and it provided me with a means to practice the techniques without stopping what i was doing to turn the pages......I found the instructions easy to follow and clearly given.
The master course content is very good. I have attended 2 other master courses and found this one to be equally enthralling. I think this is due to the free way in which information is given, the way in which I was taught and the atmosphere of the course. Even though Mr Doi’s empowerment was know to me and I have used it on my courses, to re-discover the original empowerment was a powerful experience.
I think people attending a Reiki Master course should be prepared for how it affects you. It is a deeply moving and life changing experience. In many ways a commitment to follow your true self. Very thorough, you have ensured that we heave learnt both Western and Japanese methods and techniques, also covering a lot of current Western concepts. I think this is very valuable as it ensures that we have a wide understanding of Reiki but can make our own informed choices of which methods/techniques feel most comfortable for ourselves.The course schedule was also appreciated so we had some idea of what to expect so could relax. Sharing your knowledge from surviving stduents of Usui is very special and wonderful too.

When I received the Reiki manuals and CDs I was genuinely impressed. The manuals are extremely user friendly, answering every question which I thought of. The CDs are a great idea, especially as they contain exercises which have clear and simple instructions. This gave me a chance to acquaint myself with the techniques before the day of the course, which I found very helpful.
The presentation of the course was brilliant, because we were in a small group there was ample time to ask questions. Taggart has a very approachable and calming manner and explains everything in a clear and concise way.
The course content had been clearly thought out and presented very well. I particularly liked learning about empowerments and the kotodama, both of which were completely new to me.
It is only a few days since completing the Master course, but I am already aware of an inner change and feel it is the beginning of a new and exciting journey which undoubtedly will have many new pathways to explore.
The Master's course was my first with Reiki Evolution but having gone through the Conversion Courses for 1 and 2 I would recommend all three courses, all the materials are clearly set out and the CDs are a great idea as it allows you to begin working towards each level before the day of the course.

"I have been trying to think of some constructive criticisms to make about the course, as I know that this can be more helpful than being told that everything you did was wonderful the way it was, but I genuinely haven't been able to think of any yet.
It's obvious that you have put considerable thought into how best to cover all learning styles in both the course materials and the practical course exercises. In the presentations you seemed to systematically make eye contact with everyone in turn as you spoke so that everyone was included. Unless this was accidental, which I doubt, it shows sensitivity and attention to detail.
To someone who was thinking of training or retraining at any level with Reiki Evolution, I would say do so with confidence, in the knowledge that you'll be doing what surely has to be one of the highest quality courses available anywhere."

"CONTENT: I enjoyed learning about being intuitive - perceiving the chakras was really absorbing - something I'd never envisaged before - I can see confidence in a growing intuition in one aspect can be applied to other areas of life. I also enjoyed the various energy exercises ranging from the self-empowerment technique to the kotodama.
PRESENTATION: well-focused and keeping on task - you refuse to be diverted from the task in hand, which I like as it is easy to go up interesting, yet irrelevant avenues. I also like the way you cater for the varieties of learning styles - kinaesthetic, visual, auditory etc. As a teacher I feel this is important yet sometimes unknown by some Reiki teachers. I was also impressed by your calm manner - giving equal attention to everyone - not just the most vocal or interesting, which can be the case with some teachers - not necessarily Reiki teachers.
THE MANUALS: very comprehensive and relevant - no unnecessary details were put in as a digression - all the material is usable and user friendly. The empowerments/attunements manual aptly described the process involved in connecting someone to Reiki - with sufficient detail in a logical bite size order. I have since re-read the "Symbols, Treatments and Meditations" manual and find it a valuable resource for Reiki practice as well as theory.
CD/DVD: The DVD was excellent - I found that watching it made me feel centred and calm - especially the Japanese empowerment sequences. Also, the attunement was broken down into manageable chunks. The CD summarised the main points with clarity and again, is a useful resource to return to time and again.
WHAT HAS REIKI DONE FOR ME? Made me feel more certain than ever that it is the path for me to walk to realise awareness/mindfulness and give me a sense of purpose - and share that and the other benefits of Reiki with others.
TRAINING WITH REIKI EVOLUTION: Go for it! Comprehensive is the main word. All aspects of Reiki are covered, including Reiki boosting techniques, original Japanese approaches - Western ideas and reflective non-dogmatic teachings - inspirational and uplifting, confidence building...

"What a wonderful experience! First Degree, Second Degree and Master was literally a (third) eye opener. I have tried hard but cannot think of any way the courses can be improved. All that was needed was there. The fellow students were a joy to meet.

"I absolutely LOVED doing my Masters course. I feel as if all the preparatory work was vital in:
- familiarising myself with the whole structure and content of the Reiki Masters course
- boosting the flow of energy for me dramatically
- giving me confidence and some WILD meditational experiences
The manual was easy to follow, well structured and at times entertaining as well - always a plus. The CD was great to listen to whilst cleaning the kitchen etc - very helpful as an introduction to each area and as a refresher. Nice to step back from the manual and just LISTEN.
The DVD was INVALUABLE - fantastic idea, what a great medium to learn complicated rituals from. FAR easier I should imagine than following long lists of instructions, or even still photos.
Looking at chakras - that blew me away. I've found since the course I can do it distantly as well. Mind blowing.
I've put a few interested people on to your web site for information about Reiki and as a point of contact if they are thinking of studying it. A friend of mine who has been a Reiki Master for some years is gobsmacked at some of the techniques I've been taught and wants to meet you at some stage in the future - I hope she'll redo her Masters with you.
Taggart, you are a wonderful example of how a Reiki Master should be - supportive, encouraging, highly professional, fun, very well informed about the world of Reiki, and easy to approach with questions - how is it you answer emails so promptly?! "Compared to my two previous Reiki courses with another teacher, this was much more in depth, covering both the Western and traditional Japanese Reiki.
Having the manual and CDs in advance was so helpful, as it meant there was much more time to read, understand and learn. Trying to cram everything into 2 or 3 days would have been a nightmare. As it was, it was 2 intensive days, but very fulfilling and rewarding.
