"The course venue was small, comfortable and intimate and this was ideal for the small number of people on the course. Tina's presentation style was relaxed, unhurried and easy to understand, much the same as Taggart's. Her friendly nature had the students chatting and interacting easily.
Each student was given the opportunity to explain their experiences after each exercise or empowerment. The different energies and their effects were explored. The CD for me gives a valuable and detailed source of reference that is there for when I flag or go astray. The session on Kotodama chanting was, for me, one of the highlights of the course with Tina. We were able to achieve good volume and resonance in the room resulting in some deep and lovely meditations.
The session on intuition was also rewarding as this is an area that I have had difficulty with in the past and have tended to avoid it, remaining with more conventional hand positions. With Tina's help I was able to get my head out of the way long enough for it to work and give me enough confidence to persevere with it in the future.

”The course content and presentation was very good. Tina made us all feel really welcome and gave us plenty of encouragement. I found this beneficial especially since I had taken Reiki1 and 2 elsewhere. The manuals were very explicit and I had plenty to read before the course. As I had no previous experience of Hatsurei I found the CDs very useful. I played each of the CDs over and over every spare minutes. I like the meditation music: it helps me to focus.
There were many differences from my previous course and I felt as though it is starting from day 1 again in some ways. I found working with the different symbols interesting and the clients I have tried these new symbols with have reported “the best so far”!

“The initial material sent out for pre-study (audio CDs, DVD, course work etc.) for me was a God send. It gave me the opportunity to get to grips and prepare for the live tuition. I was prepared for the day having learnt all attunements, empowerments, kotodama etc. Also gave me plenty of time to meditate on the necessary symbols and be able to differentiate the frequencies of energy.
On the two days of the live course I must say Tina opened my eyes to the many different aspects of Reiki (spiritual tools etc.) and how we can best apply them.
Initially my preferred choice was the kotodama as I found it easy to use them and feel the energy. However, Tina helped me with the visualisation of the frequency scale, chakra readings and I was truly surprised at the outcome.
I did prefer to do the live course as it gave me the opportunity to share views, experiences and ask those niggling questions there and then.
The knowledge Tina has passed on has given me a detailed outline on many aspects of Reiki/Reiju. Although I very much relate to the Reiju empowerments, I will also add Western attunements to any teachings I give.
My son and wife can even tell the instant I change frequency from one energy to another!

“At first I thought the costs steep but the overall value for money blowed me away (ie – ongoing contact etc.)
Tina was absolutely lovely, very giving and humble. She was a very effective and motivating teacher. I was very impressed.
The setting (eg. Zen garden, eco friendly toilet) was magnificent and instantly instilled an inner sense of peace when I entered.
The course content complemented, reflected and brought together the studies layed out in the manual and CDs. I would need more space to adequately explain ‘teaching styles’ etc, but in summary, Tina allowed and nurtured learning in many ways (eg. Although there was an expectation of having worked on the manual/CD before the day, I didn’t feel like I was in a daunting classroom where I was going to be tested on what I could remember! So because it wasn’t a fearful learning situation but a relaxed, empowering one, Tina gave you the space and attention to develop at your own pace. I really enjoyed the focus on the experiential – and Tina guided us patiently through the exercises and giving a full treatment – so everyone could really get into the process and experience giving/receiving Reiki.
I learned a great deal and felt I went home having travelled a long way, with lots to go over in my mind. But I didn’t feel tired but instead invigorated and inspired and couldn’t wait to practise more on myself and family and friends.

"I completed my Reiki 2 course with Tina and the day was a beautiful experience. This was the completion of the training that began with home study using the course materials provided. These included the Reiki 1 level materials to allow me as a student from another lineage to work on the Reiki 2 content with the same information. Providing this option and including guidance notes for those “catching up” on how to study the Manual in conjunction with the CD was very useful and gave needed structure on how to progress with so much information provided. The CD material was excellent to provide learning in a multimedia format and the content of the main points from the Manuals was well balanced.
The Manuals are comprehensive and left me without any questions at all! The ability to read and review the Manuals and techniques in advance of the live course date was invaluable and I was able to work with the information without rushing so that on the day of the live course I could just concentrate on working with the energy. What I also valued about the Manual content was the depth of information on the original system of Reiki and its practises as well as the western techniques. The information provided via Taggart training with Chris Marsh and therefore accessing people who trained with the founder through a very short lineage This definitely contributed to my choosing Reiki Evolution for this course.
The live day course with Tina was very relaxed yet very professional and Tina is an excellent teacher. Her manner handling queries and conveying the techniques with a logical outlook helped me to view and understand Reiki for what it really is – a simple powerful system which you cannot do “wrong”. I felt self-conscious regarding the empowerments when I knew I did not experience the fireworks some others described, however Tina really helped me to not worry and accept what happens as what it is not being important in itself but just something you go through.

”What did you think of the course content?:
Overall I thought that the course content was amazingly generous. I felt the course was created with love, compassion and understanding. I appreciate the manner in which the course material is written (with historical facts and students’ experiences) and spoken with simplicity and clarity. I believe this style allows for a wide range of people to access and process the contents without difficulties.
When I received the course material I did feel rather overwhelmed, especially as I was also doing the ‘conversion course’. However, this feeling quickly changed after I began to read the Shoden manual and listened to the CD. I am very happy that Mikao Usui’s Buddhist background has been acknowledged and is included in the course, as I had had a premonition that he was a Buddhist, and that Reiki had some connection with Buddhism.

The course met my expectations – which were very high. What did you think of the course materials?:
I think the manuals, CDs and DVD are very valuable tools that offer a wealth of information, and it was very useful to receive them before the course. Using them together helped me to engage all of my senses which made it easy to learn, retain and practise the different techniques such as: carrying out the attunements and Reiju empowerments.
I was fascinated by some of the exercises, especially the self-healing meditation. I enjoyed the freedom and permission given on the course to develop and work with intuition and intent.
What are your comments about the live training, and your teacher?:
I valued the live training as it provided me with the opportunity to do the practical exercises, get feedback and share experiences with the teacher and other students.
Tina is a very wise, joyful and competent teacher. Her cheerful and casual manner made it easy to listen and digest what she had to say. She kept things simple, was well organised, managed the session times professionally, generously shared her personal and professional knowledge with the group. I have been feeling absolutely bowled over, in a kind of daze, since completing my Masters course with Tina on 1st March. It has been a really profound experience for me so far and, like you say on the CD, Taggart, I feel like I'm only at the beginning of another learning ladder. I even find myself chanting the kotodama on the way to work in the car!!
I feel very lucky to have found Reiki-Evolution and the courses are very comprehensive and professional. Tina is a wonderful teacher. She brings a vibrant, fresh energy. As an older student I was terrified of forgetting things or 'making a mistake'. I'm sure this comes from a painful experience I had as a young student when I was in an exam and my mind went a complete blank and I went into an state of utter panic!! I thought I would never be able to remember how to draw out the HSZSN symbol and when it came to the Reiki 11 attunement procedure, I thought I'd never master it. The CDs were really helpful with this and I spent lots of time at home going over the sequences. But on the day of the course the old fear crept up on me and by the time I arrived at the venue I was feeling very scared. But Tina was so encouraging, relaxed and patient, she put me completely at ease and she made me feel as though it wasn't the end of the world if I didn't get it perfect( that intention is everything). Of course, her approach frees you up so you achieve more than you thought you would. I did make two mistakes and she pointed them out in a way that didn't make me feel embaressed. She then demonstrated the correct techniqueand then it all suddenly 'clicked' together in my mind and now I feel I've really got the whole process absolutely clear and I feel I can do it. This is teaching at its very best- it empowers you and moves you on towards your highest potential. It has really helped me with my confidence and in overcoming this block. Having the manuals, CDs and DVDs is great because you can always refresh yourself in the future.
And when I received the certicate and the lovely gift of the precepts writtten out in beautiful Japanese calligraphy I was moved to tears. I felt like you were celebrating my achievement with me- thank you!!

I was highly impressed by the range of quality study material supplied for the RMT course - I used it all in preparation for the live training and feel secure that I have good resources when the day comes to deliver my own Master training.

Course content:
One of my main reasons for staying with RE throughout all the levels of training is the clear and wide ranging content of the courses. ”Thank you for my certificate for the Deepening Course! I had a brilliant day with Tina. Initially I had a little bit of nerves because I was going to be taught 1-2-1, however, this turned out to be the best thing ever, and I ended up feeling incredibly lucky to be taught the course this way. ”I enjoyed the course because putting all I learned into practice in a group brought it “alive” in a way I had not previously experienced. In particular, chanting the kotodama was very powerful. This experience of the ‘live’ training was only possible because of the preparation we were able to do with the course materials which were excellent. Learning the attunement procedure was daunting but the way we worked with Tina on the day consolidated all the learning and it was quite a moving experience. Having a variety of resources to learn this was excellent. I found the DVD very useful and watched it over and over again before I looked at the other resources on this one – excellent aid to see the processes carried out.

"1) Pre Course Study.
This is a brilliant idea- and saves so much time wasting on the day of your live course, as many of the exercises have already been clearly explained in your manual and CD, and should have been practiced and memorised beforehand, leaving more time on the day to absorb the practical side, without the teacher having to go over things again and again. Having good general knowledge of the background and history of Reiki is invaluable as well. I would not have wanted to sit through listening to someone explain all that on the day of the live course and would have found it hard to take it all in anyway.
The manual and CDs are clear and concise, and give you everything I feel you need before attending the live course, and you can study and absorb it all in your own time. The recommended program and question and answer sections you are given with the manual/ CD are particularly helpful.
Really enjoyed the study, daily exercises and self treatments.
2) The live day course.
This was brilliant and really reinforced all the home study. My teacher Tina Shaw as warm and welcoming, instantly putting us all at ease and making everything so simple and easy to follow- it is an intense, but immensely enjoyable day.
I felt the way the course was designed was perfect for me, but the thing I loved more than anything was the atmosphere and environment that Reiki Evolution create.
There is a real sense of humility about everything. You do not try and make out your courses are better than anyone else’s- you just state how they are so that a person can make their own mind up about if it is the right course for them. You take all the hocus pocus, magic and mystery out of it and just stick to fact. You don’t claim to perform miracles and in fact insist you are teachers, not masters, and give the student the confidence to believe that everyone is capable of being a healing energy channel and it isn’t for just the chosen few.
The course was only 2 days ago, but I only have to start thinking about the energy now and I feel it rush through me and into my hands and have had great success treating my family- my son’s girlfriend who was a bit sceptical had a headache tonight and I treated her head and shoulders, and I must say it was the most powerful reaction- the prickles in my hands were so strong- they were still tingling afterwards, and she got a bit scared because her eyes couldn’t stop flickering and she could see rainbow colours shooting everywhere!! I assured her it was quite normal!! LOL!
I am thoroughly enjoying working with the energy whenever I can and look forward to enrolling on my second course.
I love it and it complements my yoga perfectly.

"Once again I found the course really good. The study pack beforehand, and Tina’s wonderful help, tuition and support on the day and ongoing support afterwards as well.
It is great that you keep the course to the simple basic Reiki teachings and principles, and I have found that I add things of my own in my own practice, which help to enhance things for me. I think it is good to keep the teaching simple and as pure as possible though, in the way that you do. Although instinctively, I change and tweak and do some things slightly differently now, this is personal to me and works for me, and although one can share these things, I think it is important to keep personal practices out of passing etchings on then everyone can find their own way which works best for them, without losing anything from the original teachings. I have heard of some very bizarre things taught and passed on to Reiki students.
I think on completion of Reiki 1, one cannot wait to do Reiki 2. However I feel with Reiki 2 it is like passing your driving test - you can do it, but it is with time, practice and experience that you become confident and competent in your work, so although I will do the next level, it will not be for a while yet.
I love your courses because they deliver the tools to the student, and the rest is up to us. You do not teach in a dogmatic way, which is so refreshing. It is very non-judgmental, and humble - you don’t run other courses down, or make ridiculous claims. It is very matter of fact, and down to earth and you just deal with the facts with an open mind - which is great. You make everyone feel that this isn’t just for the chosen few but for everybody, which is good too and builds confidence in a person.
Lastly, I would just like to say how brilliant my teacher Tina Shaw is - she teaches in a very warm, down to earth and practical way and makes me feel very comfortable about going to her about anything, and I feel so blessed to have her and am going to her Reiki share and developing intuition in March which I am looking forward to very much.
