At Reiki Evolution we routinely ask our students to let us have their feedback about the Reiki training and support that they receive. We have set ourselves high standards and want to make sure that our students are happy with their Reiki courses, and soliciting feedback is a good way of making sure that we are on track.

“I’ve just completed my reiki first degree with Reiki Evolution. I attended my course in Livingston with Annie Robertson. I booked online and had my study pack sent out to me within a couple of days. I had quite a few questions but Taggart and Annie were always there to answer everything.

The study pack is so easy to follow, you can’t go wrong with it and then there’s the 2 audio CDs that go along with the pack , these are also very easy to listen to and follow. From the moment I received my pack I meditated and studied studied studied until the day of my live course.

“I really enjoyed the reiki first degree course and very much appreciated having the course manual and CDs in advance. It makes such a difference to be able to work through the material at your own pace prior to the live training day and to know that everyone is coming in at the same level of understanding. Such a pleasure to be able to concentrate and enjoy fully the day as it happens rather than having to worry about taking notes!! The inclusion of manual plus CD is a great idea as not everyone assimilates information in the same way so nice to have it presented in 2 different forms that compliment each other.

I really liked the fact that there was so much background information about Mikao Usui himself and the system that he developed and that there are references to follow up on. Obviously, it is not necessary to know this in order to practice reiki, but it gives such a solid basis to the course and more of an appreciation of the techniques he developed with spiritual improvement and self-healing at its heart. In a fast moving, materialistic world, I think it is important that Usui’s principles should not be overlooked or forgotten.

I thought that the manual was well written and easy to follow…  The CD was very easy to listen to………. and like everyone else, I have to comment on Taggart’s liquid voice!

I went into the live training day with an open mind, ready to accept whatever happened and therefore in a relaxed frame of mind. Annie was very good and supportive, giving each of us time to say what we experienced at each stage throughout the day and the whole atmosphere was conducive to enjoying the experience and being uninhibited about asking questions. It is also great to know that there is such a good support network available and open to us after training.

Absolutely fantastic course it was so easy to follow, the course materials were fantastic they suit all learning styles, a fantastic resource that you can re-visit again and again.

I continued my live training with Annie and was once again impressed by her knowledge, skill and relaxed nature. We had a few very intense moments during our empowerments and treatment sessions and by the end of the day we were both zoned out, thank you Annie you are an amazing person.

“What a lovely day of learning I had on Saturday! After completing the Reiki first degree in January with Annie Robertson at her base in South Queensferry, I had immediately booked a place for the second degree schedule to take place on the 28th of March. I engaged with the excellent course materials in preparation and was looking forward to the course day.

Little did anyone know at that time that Coronavirus would prevent the face-to-face course going ahead. However, all was not lost since Annie offered to run the course virtually for myself and another participant, each in our own homes (with our respective ‘guinea pigs’ to hand for our reiki treatments). I was so glad this was an option, rather postpone until the current crisis is over.

Annie had spent the day before the course exploring different platforms for conference calls to ensure everything went smoothly, and on the day we found Google Hangouts worked very well to connect us. Annie was a super teacher, so kind in her approach and clear in her explanations. Plenty room was given for me and the other participant to reflect on our experiences of the reiki empowerments, use of symbols and other practical activities.

In addition, the following day Annie sent a summary of the learning with suggestions to establish a routine of reiki practice such as self-healing, meditations, distant healing of others and empowerments. All I’m all, the experience of carrying out the course at distance was excellent.

“I absolutely loved the course with Annie. I felt the course work before the practical course was really easy to navigate through and it was very clear. I spent a lot of time reading through the book and taking notes along with practicing.
On the day of the course, Annie made me very welcome in her home. She has her room set up so that it has a lovely vibe and is very professional. I enjoyed the way the day was planned out: going over what we had studied in the morning along with energy exercises then giving and receiving a treatment in the afternoon. It felt like the right time to do it and I felt more confident to do my treatment.

I really enjoyed the course. I have been fortunate and I suppose you could say a little unfortunate to have already completed my reiki level 1 with another individual and there is no comparison. This course was and is extremely thorough. I really enjoyed that I had materials to work through beforehand as it really did give me a great insight before the face to face tutorial with Annie. It allowed me to go over any questions I had at the practical session.

The course content is very well organised. I loved how easy it was and the step by step guide instructions on what to read, when to read it, what and when to listen is perfect. It felt fool proof. It didn’t leave many questions I felt unanswered.

Brilliant. Your approach makes sense to me and was very well explained in the manual and via the CDs. The practical day with Annie complemented this really well. 

Did the course meet your expectations?

Fully. I had already done Reiki 1 and 2 with a Western school. I was overwhelmed by that over-complicated approach and felt very unsupported in my learning. There were 22 people on my Reiki 2 course! Your course was much more straightforward, focused, better explained and supportive with a far greater emphasis on actually working with the energy. I loved the fact there were only 4 people on the live course. It made learning much more personal and we all had a chance to get to know each other and contribute to conversations.

What did you think of the course materials (manual and audio)?

Excellent. And great to refer back to. I can see that each topic has been very well researched from many different angles, yet presented in a very easy to learn format.

What are your comments about the live training, and your teacher, or the pre-course study approach?

The ambience created by Annie on the live training day was positive, welcoming, relaxing, highly supportive, encouraging and enjoyable. Annie facilitated all the sessions really well and made sure we all had a chance to contribute and were feeling happy. I feel much more confident in my Reiki skills and knowledge now. I really enjoyed the training day and can honestly say I felt more relaxed than I have in years. I feel calmer as a result of attending the course. Both Hatsurei and self treatments are feeling stronger with energy flowing better. I have been dealing with health issues and now feel better able to cope. I am looking forward to Reiki 2 with Annie and hope to attend Reiki shares.

“Wednesday was my first experience of Reiki (apart from having worked through the handbook that is). I admit I was a bit anxious, not knowing what to expect. However, within minutes of meeting you I felt at ease. You felt like the right person somehow to set me on this journey. Your home is also incredibly peaceful and calming too.

Being guided through the meditation practices by you was also quite something but the empowerments were incredible! I can honestly say I have never felt so calm, peaceful and blissful! This was indeed an other-worldly experience.

“Having had some time to sit and reflect on my experience of the level 2 training, I thought I would now attempt to put it adequately into words!

I found the training booklet a very helpful starting point. It was informative and the instructions were clear. I particularly liked the inclusion of the phonetic pronunciations for the 3 respective symbols!  I was surprised by how accurate the descriptions of the two energies were when I tried using them. The use of the symbols seem to provide a major boost to the feel of the energy too both when used on myself and on willing volunteers! The CD of meditation practices is also a great aid in learning the “how to”.

This was my second training day with Annie and it was every bit as special as my Level 1 day had been. Annie had a cancellation which meant I was the only student on the day. While I was grateful that she was prepared to go ahead with a class of just one, I was also a little daunted at the thought of practicing my novice skills on someone so proficient in Reiki. My fears were soon allayed.

Annie provided a very safe and welcoming space. The day felt like a wonderful oasis of peace and calm away from the busyness of everyday life. It was great to have the opportunity to practice the symbol meditations under her supervision – and to know I had been doing them correctly in my pre course homework. Everything was done at a gentle pace and she answered all the questions I had. The empowerments were powerful! 

It was also very special to receive a full Reiki session and then be given the opportunity to provide one too. 

I came away from the day feeling blissed out, re-energised and a little more confident to offer Reiki sessions to others and a whole lot more confident and determined to stick to this path.

“I would like to start by saying I really enjoyed the course it exceeded my expectations. The content was really informative and easy to follow along with the audio, and the guided meditation really helped everything flow.

Listening to the audio after reading relevant sections in the second part of the audio particularly helped me to reinforce the key points.
